Meet Hannah

Hi! I’m Hannah. I’m still figuring things out. I’m finding that writing helps. Also: trying a little bit of a lot of things.

I believe in coffee shop kindness, shamelessly siphoned Wi-Fi, $4 chocolate chip cookies, and quotes for every occasion. I’m hoping people in Portland, Oregon do too. I’ve written elsewhere, but I have the most fun here, where I don’t have to worry about incomplete sentences or extra exclamation points. Or page views.

I hope someday you’ll send me a note at hcnickerson [at] gmail [dot] com. You really should say hello. Especially if you’re also twenty something, and (not) finding your way.

  1. Han! I didn’t realize you were still writing! Some of it breaks my heart, but everything else is so pretty, delicious, and so perfectly Hannah! Keep your head up, I’ll keep reading, and hopefully someday soon we’ll be able to catch up over croissants in France 🙂

  2. Hi Hannah,

I’ve just found your blog and your writing style is beautiful!

Also twenty, also allergic to any sort of conversation about ‘the future’ and also getting as much wifi as I can out of cafes that probably want to kick me out! Only difference is my cookies cost pounds instead of dollars!

Clicking follow right now! Live life & drink tea,

    • Hi, Stephanie! I wouldn’t wish the twenty-somethings on anybody, but I admit I always find it really reassuring to hear that I’m not all alone. 🙂 Thanks so much for reading, and all the way from the UK! Sending you courage, and if you’re anywhere near a Ben’s Cookies, one of those too!

  3. Hi Hannah,

When I read your post a few days ago, I immediately identified with your attitude about life. Thank you so much for writing your thoughts. You brought a sense of belonging. Thank you.

  5. Hi I’m not twenty-something and I’ve mostly been on my own way. But your blog is intriguing: lovely blend of text and photos. I excpect to drop by again 🙂

  6. As a Portlandian, I don’t know if I believe in $4 chocolate chip cookies – that had better be one damn good cookie! I love the layout of your blog. So clean. And your picture choices are so nice! Looking forward to reading more 🙂

  7. Hey Hannah,

My coach gave me your blog and I love it. I look at it on days where I’m lost and your adventures, quotes, pictures, and thoughts all inspire me.

Thanks for your help with life.

  8. Hi Hannah I’m not in my 20s, not for a while, but I am also an ‘H’ and yours is the only blog I consistently read. I live a long way away (London) but if I ever meet you I’m going to give you a big Hug. xx
